I have been an Optimist for 35 years. I love being a member of my local clubs. I enjoy the projects and activities we provide for the youth of our community, and I truly enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of the children we work with. I am excited about the fact that we created a Junior Optimist Club during my year as president and it is still going strong! I am proud to be from a community of 9000 people that can boast of supporting 2 successful Optimist Clubs, one with 104 members and one with 29 members. I fully support the work of Optimist International and the Foundation. As the OIF Rep. for our District, I am the “cheerleader” for all the OIF programs and talk to clubs and members whenever I get the chance to explain all the benefits of supporting OI and the Foundation. I believe in the Optimist Creed and our mission and I feel I have something to offer as a member of the OIF Board of Directors. I would be honored to serve in that capacity and ask for your vote.
